Post Surgery: General Information
You will have some pain and swelling which should decrease in 3 to 5 days after the surgery. If pain and swelling continue, or if you develop a temperature great than 101, please - call the office. Pain medications will be prescribed for you at the time of your discharge from the hospital.

Your wounds should be kept dry at all times. Showers may not be taken until the sutures (stitches) are removed by the doctor.

Rehabilitation exercises (if needed) will be ordered at the time of your first post-op visit. If you do not know of a Physical Therapy facility, the office will help you find a facility that is convenient for you.

Please check with your insurance company to determine if the facility is listed in your insurance plan and if a pre-certification or a referral is needed.

If you are applying for disability you must obtain the form at the Unemployment office in your county. Bring the form with your portion of the form filled out and signed by you, (including your employer’s portion) to the doctor’s office. We will complete the medical portion of the form and mail it for you. (Please place a first class stamp on the form)
