Post Surgery: General Information
You will have some pain and swelling which should decrease in 3 to 5 days after the surgery. If pain and
swelling continue, or if you develop a temperature great than 101, please - call the office. Pain medications
will be prescribed for you at the time of your discharge from the hospital.
Your wounds should be kept dry at all times. Showers may not be taken until the sutures (stitches)
are removed by the doctor.
Rehabilitation exercises (if needed) will be ordered at the time of your first post-op visit. If you
do not know of a Physical Therapy facility, the office will help you find a facility that is convenient
for you.
